This or That TAG!

Hey everyone!

I wanted to do a quick Sunday afternoon post, so I figured I would do a tag! Here we go with the "This or That" tag…

1. Blush or Bronzer? I'm going to go with blush because it is one of my favorite makeup items to play with and buy!

2. Lipgloss or Lipstick? I've been getting a little more into lipstick lately, but I always top it with a lipgloss for shine. I'll go with Lipgloss because you can find glosses with color so you get color and gloss all in one product!

3. Eyeliner or Mascara? A couple years ago I would have said eyeliner because I would not walk out the door without eyeliner. These days I have to get ready pretty quickly in the mornings for work, so I usually skip eyeliner to save time. If I had to choose one it would be mascara because even if I'm doing bare minimum makeup I always wear mascara.

4. Foundation or Concealer? I'll go with concealer because my bare minimum face to walk out the door is concealer and mascara. I just throw a little under my eyes and on any blemishes and blend it in with my Beauty Blender.

5. Neutral or Colored Eyeshadow? Neutral! I'm all about neutral palettes- my favorites are Naked 3, Lorac Pro, Lorac Unzipped, and Too Faced Natural Eyes.

6. Pressed or Loose Eyeshadow? Pressed because I'm a klutz and I spill loose stuff all over the place. J

7. Brushes or Sponges? This is hard because I looove my Beauty Blender. However, I have to go with brushes because that's what I use for the rest of my makeup!

I hope you all enjoyed reading this quick post!

XOXO,

Meredith

Beauty Society Product Review

Hi beauties!

I recently received a package with some Beauty Society samples from one of their representatives, Danielle (check her out on Instagram @beautysocietydiva14). I wanted to give you guys a quick overview of what she sent me and a little review. Since I was trying sample sized products, this is just my initial thoughts on the products!

  • Set Me Free Cleanser- I really liked this cleanser because I felt it cleaned really deeply. It has that kind of tingly feeling that makes you feel fresh and clean.
  • Easy Going Cleanser- This is a more moisturizing cleanser, which is nice for the days that you want to be gentle on your skin. I wasn't in love with it because my skin didn't feel completely clean after using it.
  • Crystal Ball Microdermabrasion Treatment- This is a really nice exfoliating product! I love how small the crystals are because it leaves your skin feeling super soft.
  • Youth Accelerator Serum- I'm not a big believer in serums in general because I don't feel like they do much for my skin. I'm not sure if this product would cause more results over a longer period of time, but I wasn't a fan of it the few times I used it.
  • Baby Calm Down Calming & Hydrating Mask- Masks are one of my skin care obsessions! This one was decent because it left my skin feeling hydrated. The only thing I didn't like was that my skin felt a little sticky after I washed it off.
  • Immortal Eyes- This was a nice eye cream for day and night time. I liked that it was moisturizing, but still light enough to wear under makeup.
  • Redemption Shampoo & Conditioner- My hair is easily tanged, and I prefer to use moisturizing hair products. I wasn't a fan of this shampoo and conditioner because my hair felt a little dry and tangly after using it.
  • Perfect 10 Foundation- I was pleasantly surprised by this foundation. It is a great medium coverage foundation and applies very easily. I think this was one of my favorite products I got to try!

Overall, I enjoyed the majority of the products I got to try! Unfortunately, I think the brand is a little pricey, but if you are considering trying out Beauty Society, I think it is worth a shot! Thanks to Danielle for the products! Head over to her Instagram if you are interested in Beauty Society. Drugstore Favorites

I recently posted on Instagram asking for some suggestions for blog posts, and one follower suggested a post on my favorite drugstore items. This is the perfect time for me to talk about this because I've really been loving drugstore makeup lately. I'm trying to cut back on my spending when it comes to makeup and beauty (I've got a honeymoon to save for!), so the drugstore has been a big life saver lately! Keep reading to find out what products I love from the drugstore.

Olay Complete All Day UV Moisturizer- This is my favorite day-time moisturizer because it has SPF and it is light weight enough to wear under makeup.
Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes- I’ve tried several makeup removing wipes, and these are definitely my favorite. I think they do a good job of removing your makeup (I just use them on my face and I use Pond’s Cold Cream to remove eye makeup) and they are inexpensive.
Revlon Colorstay and Colorstay Whipped foundations- These aren’t just my favorite drugstore foundations, they are my favorite foundations overall! They both have medium to full coverage and they are super blendable and easy to apply.
Covergirl CG Smoothers concealer- This is my favorite concealer for blemishes because it covers them really well without getting dry and cakey.
Maybelline Fit Me concealer- I like this concealer for under my eyes. It’s probably my second favorite concealer overall (MAC Pro Longwear is my favorite).
Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder- I don’t like to use this all over my face because it is SUPER mattifying, but I usually use my Laura Mercier finishing powder all over and then use Stay Matte on my chin and forehead (the areas I get oily). It helps keep my oily areas more matte throughout the day.
Milani Baked Bronzer- This is a great bronzer for summertime because it has a little shimmer in it. It’s great for an all over bronzer to warm up the face.
NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils- Yogurt and Iced Mocha- I love using these pencils as my eyeshadow base. They definitely will crease if you use them alone, so I always use an eyeshadow over it.
Loreal Infallible Eyeshadow in Amber Rush- These Infallible eyeshadows are to die for! They are so soft and pigmented, and this color is absolutely gorgeous.
Milani Liquif’eye Eyeliner Pencil- I like my eyeliner pencils to be super creamy so they are easy to smudge out. This one is the best pencil I’ve tried so far!
Maybelline Eye Studio Gel Eyeliner- I’m a gel eyeliner lover and this one is my holy grail. I used to be obsessed with the Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner, but this one is just as good (if not better) and about a third of the price!
Maybelline mascaras- Maybelline has the best mascaras in the drug store. My favorite are Mega Plush Volum’ Express and Pumped Up Colossal!
Essence I Extreme Crazy Volume Mascara- I’ve talked about this mascara in a few posts because it is great! It gives amazing volume and length.
NYX Butter Glosses- These glosses are the best if you are looking for pigmentation. They give the pigmentation of lipstick, but with added shine and creaminess.
